Comparing The Indian And Australian Educational Systems

India will soon be one of the countries with the most people, and its economy could be the greatest in the world. Every year, millions of people in India use graduates, most of whom are from the middle class. In contrast to India, many other countries make primary and secondary education free and make it a law that everyone must move to school.

 

In the way things are now, education is turning into a business. For example, privatizing education is big business now. From tuition to tutoring, everything in education is about making money. So, pretty much everyone in business is moving toward education.

 

Universities in India’s educational system

 

India’s higher education system is very complicated. There are about 760 universities and about 38,000 colleges. Government colleges, especially Central Government colleges, only take in about 3% of students, and those who get in are the best ones.

 

Many state universities have partnerships with state colleges or private colleges that give degrees. Also, there’s “deemed university,” a relatively new idea made to cover many private schools started mainly by business people.

 

Universities in Australia’s educational system

 

The education system in Australia is called the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). It started around 1995 and usually included higher education, vocational training, a certificate of leaving school, and secondary education. The Australian education system brings together all kinds of schools, universities, and vocational schools.

 

As a result, the education system is transparent and makes it easy to move from one level of schooling to the next. It also gives excellent career advice and opportunities. The Australian government also keeps a list of AQF-approved courses in a government directory. These courses are recognized at the national level, and when a student finishes them, they can get an actual certificate.

 

AUQA, the Australian university quality agency and a national training quality council are two new programs started by the Australian government to improve Australia’s accreditation and quality assurance processes. In Australia, there are many different kinds of rules and regulations.

 

Students can find that education abroad is very different from education in India. In the West, they emphasize hands-on learning and practical knowledge, and they also let kids be creative in school. Their education is seen as a whole process of learning. India focuses most on book-based, so learning there is not very useful.

 

Here are the significant differences between the education systems in Australia and India:

 

  • The idea of education as a whole is the same in both countries. An Australian student will first try out the pictures in the real world and then focus on the theory. The Indian education system is the exact opposite. The theoretical framework is given more importance than the practical idea of learning.

 

  • There aren’t many ways that technology can be used in schools in India. It only has a small range of students, which needs to be changed. Universities and colleges should spend more time teaching students how to use technology wisely to keep up with international education standards. Also, things are very different in Australia. There, students’ academic growth is evaluated, not just tested. This means that every student goes through many tests, but only the best ones are graded and used in their education.

 

  • The difference in the education system is that India needs significant changes as soon as possible because its education system is very old-fashioned. As globalization and outsourcing become more and more popular, it’s high time to raise education standards.

 

India should look at how the two countries are different and work based on that. Australia has about 23 million people, but it is much bigger than India in land area. On the other hand, 1.2 billion people live in India.

 

So, when we look at a country’s per capita income, we see that Australia’s is around $55,000 and India’s is in the low thousands. So, it’s clear that both countries have very different ways of teaching and very different needs. India doesn’t have everything that everyone needs to live.

 

For example, not everyone in India has an easy time getting on the Internet. India is a bit like Europe in that people there come from many different cultures and speak many other languages. In a world where not everybody has been captivated by the Internet, there is a kind of regional demand that is still getting going.

 

But if we look at Australia as an example, it’s not the problem. People have many chances, and it’s up to them to take them or not. Students can moreover go to college or obtain vocational education. Both are in demand. India needs to make it easier for students to get the kind of education they want, but with a growing population, it’s clear that won’t happen any time soon.

 

Australia, on the other hand, has a sizeable vocational education system. For example, no one cares if someone is a plumber or a driver and makes a good living. It’s all about building money and taking care of themselves. On the other hand, India puts a lot of emphasis on skills and not on studying what a person loves. People don’t just think about a global world when they think about globalization.

 

They also think about how people can move around the world. In any country, if a person’s credentials aren’t well-recognized, there are problems because they have to rescale themselves. Countries should switch to a competency-based system of education where all certifications and courses are well known and respected all over the world.
